Saturday Movie Review: To Rent or Not to Rent

This week I got "Something Borrowed" from the library. Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Darcy (Kate Hudson) are best friends and have been since they were younger.


Rachel met Dex (Colin Egglesfield) in law school and acted like they were just friends. When Darcy shows up one night, her and Dex meet. Rachel says she is just friends with Dex and Darcy should go after him. Well, now Dex and Darcy are engaged. Of course, Rachel has feelings for Dex and when they end of sleeping together one night after her birthday party, the whole picture changes. Dex always had a crush on Rachel as well.

Old friend Ethan (John Krasinski- "The Office"), deals Rachel to follow her heart. Dex and Rachel try to work things out and of course in the end LOVE TAKES OVER. So who really gets married in this movie? Guess you need to rent it to see. I give it a thumbs up..Enjoy!

Celebrity Wedding

Guess who finally tied the knot this past weekend??
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries wed Saturday night with over 400 guests.

Kim wore three original dresses from Vera Wang. The first gown was an ivory ballgown with full tulle skirt with a very long train. Kim's second dress was an ivory mermaid gown and finally an ivory bias-cut crepe back satin gown with a V-neck and circle skirt. WOW, and that was just her dresses.

Have you heard of guests having a strict dress code- yup, they were only allowed to wear white and black. Each of the bridesmaids wore a custom Vera Wang gown as well and MOB Kris wore a gorgeous white dress with a VERY LARGE BOW. Pictures are not up yet as they are selling them to the magazines and the wedding will be shown as well.

We will all have to wait for the pictures. It has been a CRAZY year for weddings. Enjoy!

Celebrity Engagement

On last Monday's “The Bachelorette” finale, Ashley Hebert got engaged to J.P. Rosenbaum. If you watched all season, you should not have been surprised that she picked J.P.

J.P. proposed with a diamond from Neil Lane worth $60,000. The ring has 3.5 carts in all- very nice!!

“Today is the reason why I went through all the good times and the bad times,” Hebert responded before accepting the proposal. “I’ve been wanting to tell you how much I love you for so long now. You mean the world to me and I don’t want to be with anyone else but you forever.”

No wedding date has been set, but I hope they last. Enjoy!

Vanessa Minnillo's Wedding Planning Tips

Hopefully by now you caught up on Nick and Vanessa' s Dream Wedding on TLC- it has been playing ALOT. Vanessa shared her top 10 tips for wedding planning: Drum Roll:::

Wedding Tips from Vanesssa:

1: Try on different styles of dresses. Even if u know what u want, it may surprise u. Go for it all & be girly! Most importantly, HAVE FUN

2: I Love a “little” splash of color! I had a beautiful bouquet of gloriosa’s, BUT I didn’t put my matron of honor in a fuchsia dress.

3: Listen to your groom & have elements of what “he” wants in the Wedding. After all, it’s both of your day. Nick had great suggestions.

4: A welcome bag w/”personalized” goodies is always nice! We did beach towels w/their names embroidered, & all the beach essentials.

5: Make sure to take time before the wedding & spend it with ur fiancee. A night with a glass of wine, or a weekend away.

6: To save money: use venue’s place settings & glassware, but we brought in our personalized linens and chargers for a more custom feel.

7: If you can, have multi-photographers. We loved Yitzhak Dalal, & he brought 2 others w/him. There’s always more than one angle u want!

8: Consider weather when planning an outdoor ceremony. The ONE thing I regret is we didn’t have fans or a.c. at the ceremony.

9: Do something special for ur fiancee b4 the ceremony, a gift, &/or a hand written card. Let them know how u feel & that u Love them!

10: HAVE FUN! Once it’s the day of, try ur hardest not to let ANYTHING get in the way. You’ll regret it if u obsess about small stuff!

Celebrity Wedding

Another Royal Wedding took place this year and it is The Queen's eldest granddaugther- Zara Phillips. She married Mike Tindall in Scotland on Saturday. The couple got engaged over the holidays.

Of course the Royal's were in attendance, they are her cousins- Prince William and Duchess Kate along with Prince Harry.

The bride's dress was by Stewart Parvin and her tiara was from her mother, Princess Anne.

What a beautiful couple- Congrats!
