Saturday Movie Review: To Rent or Not to Rent

This week I got "Love & Other Drugs" from the library.

Jamie (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a young salesman competing in the pharmaceuticals industry. He sets his sights on Doctor Knight (Hank Azaria), the leading general physican in his region. He lures Dr. Knight with a bribe for a chance to shadow his practice and convince him that his drugs are better for his patients. While he pretends to be Dr. Knights intern, he meets patient Maggie Murdock (Anne Hathaway).


Jamie becomes the leading salesman of the new drug Viagra and can get any girl he wants with his charm, but only has eyes for Maggie. Maggie has Parkinson's disease, but that doesn't bother Jamie. Maggie and Jamie spend half of the movie in the bedroom, otherwise this is a great movie. She is the constant he needs in his chaotic life. The movie is fast paced and a fun watch. The movie is based on Jamie Reidy's memoir "Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman. Put this one on your movie list tonight..Enjoy!
