We went to Vegas and were able to hire a photo/dj combo and it was really cheap. I also bought my dress at a wedding dress outlet store and got it for 75% off retail.

Best money saving tip, make the bridesmaid bouquets, look to see if there is a local culinary school that caters on weekends for cheap, see if you can get a cheaper rate for Friday or Sunday wedding day.

choose flowers that are in season to save cost. Also, have a close friend that is into photographer take all the pictures. This could be there present to you. My friend father took our photos and that was the families gift to us- what a wonderful gift.

Having your girls pick their dress will save your girls some money. I had my girls wear black dresses- they git to choose what fits them and the can wear them again.
ReplyDeleteFor me: I had a close friend do my hair and makeup, which was a great cost savings.

Best tip is to buy as much items as you can yourself. Especially the flowers! I had 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen plus mothers of bride and groom, ring bearer, flower girl...etc. I bought my flowers in bulk online and made my own bouquets!
ReplyDeleteRent your wedding dress. There are some great dresses you can rent and you save SOOO much.
ReplyDeleteMy sister just got married and rented her dress for $300. Well worth it.

We asked friends of ours to help out with things that they are talented in instead of giving us gifts. For example: one is a great photographer, one had DJ equipment, etc.
