Celebrity Wedding

I must admit I am sad to see Eddie Cibrian getting married. I loved him on CSI Miami as the hottie Jesse Cardoza.

Ok, on to the wedding of the week:
Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes were officially married on Friday, 4/22. They had a small wedding with about 40 guests. Cibrian's two sons from a previous marriage were in attendance.

The couple who got engaged in December, led friends and family to believe that they'd been invited to an engagement party, but surprised the guests by tying the knot at the intimate ceremony. What a great idea. How exciting. I wish them the best..Enjoy!

Saturday Movie Review: To Rent or Not to Rent

I had "Hot In Cleveland: Season 1" on my library list for the past few months, and it finally came in. Once I learned Betty White snagged the Screen Actors Guild award for her role, I knew I wanted to see this series. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I love Jane Leeves as Daphne Moon (Frasier)and she is one of the stars in this new comedy.

The series stars Valerie Betinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White. The first three ladies are best friends whose plane makes an emergency landing in Cleveland. They realize once they hit the local bar that men find them HOT in Cleveland and the men are real men, not the ones they are used to from Hollywood. Melanie(Bertinelli) is ready to start over in Cleveland after her failed marriage and ends up renting a home, where her friends decide to stay with her for a few weeks( everyone thinks they are in Paris still). After the lease is signed, the realtor mentions the home comes with a caretaker, Elka(Betty White). All 4 ladies get along great and are very funny together. It reminds me a lot like Golden Girls. Season 1 only had 10 episodes, so a quick watch. I am a new fan of HOT IN CLEVELAND and can't wait to check out season 2, which is on now. Worth watching..go out and get it..Enjoy!

Celebrity Engagamet

This week Ali Fedotowsky aka "The Bachelorette" last year and fiance Roberto were at a baseball game. The real hint in the picture is that I think they set a wedding date. Ali posted this picture on her Facebook page.

August 21, 2011 sounds like it will be there wedding date. Not sure if it will be aired on ABC yet, but probably a good chance. Saturday Movie Review: To Rent or Not to Rent

This week I got "Life As We Know It" from the library. Katherine Heigl plays Holly Berenson and Josh Duhamel plays Eric Messer (Messer to all his friends). Holly and Messer's best friends set them up years ago and their blind date does not go as planned. They realize they are not a good match for each other and the date ends early. When their respective best friends get married, they are the Maid of Honor and Best Man and later when baby Sophie comes along, they are her godparents. They see each other plenty and still hate one another, but play nice.

Sophie's parents die in a car crash and Holly and Messer find out they left Sophie in their hands- together as parent figures. They become Sophie's caregivers and live in the house together. As you can probably tell how this movie ends, they learn to live with each other and realize they can't live without each other. I love happy endings. Worth renting, my husband and I both enjoyed and even though we are not parents, we enjoyed the comedy. Enjoy!

My Coupon Philosphy

I have received a few emails this past week asking about the new TLC show Extreme Couponing.

I wanted to share some of my thoughts:

The show is a little much, yes I love a great deal like the next couponer, but these people are a excessive. Does one really need 100 boxes of pasta?? Unless you are planning to donate them, this is EXTREME. Hence the title of the show.

I like to be realistic when I shop and if I don't have a coupon, I probably wont buy the product. I will look for the best deals or buy the store brand if needed.

My 3 Rules of Couponing:

1. I don't just purchase an item because I have a coupon. I match the sales with store coupons as well as manufacture coupons. For example, a box of cereal might be $4.99. I will wait until the brand I like is Buy One Get One (BOGO) and then use my manufacture coupon as well. If you are new to couponing, you might think the $1 off is a great savings, but once you start using coupons with BOGO sales you will start shopping smarter.

2. It takes time. Time to clip coupons, make shopping lists and view weekly ads to find the best prices. If you don't have the time, you can still coupon- Remember a $1 off is better than paying FULL PRICE for that box of cereal.

3. Stockpiling. I always mention when I find a great deal that I stockpile, but I stockpile in moderation. I don't need 50 boxes of cereal, but 10 would work just fine. Products go on sale in cycles, usually every 3 months. This means I just need 3 months supply. Now you just need to figure out how many boxes of cereal your family eats in 3 months?

Saturday Movie Review: To Rent or Not to Rent

This week I got " The Six Wives of Henry Lefay" from the library as I didn't have any movies ready for pickup. I love Tim Allen, who plays Henry Lefay. Henry has a daughter, Barbara, played by the lovely Elisha Cuthbert(Jack's daughter on"24"). Henry disappears after a skydiving trip and his daughter is notified of his supposed death. Barbara has not spoken to her father in a year and does not like the fact that Henry's new wife is the same age as her. The funeral plans get sticky when Henry's current and former family do not see eye to eye on his burial arrangements. With 6 wives for Barbara to deal with, this comedy gets a little out of hand. A fun watch, but not worth watching again. Enjoy!

Celebrity Engagement

I have been watching “Dancing with the Stars” this season and I am a fan of the judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Well, she was guest hosting “Live! With Regis and Kelly,” last week and got the surprise of her life when Regis read a viewer’s email asking for suggestions on how to propose to his girlfriend.

The viewer turned out to be Inaba’s boyfriend Jesse Sloan, who came out from backstage carrying a 2.5 carat princess-cut diamond engagement ring by Rafinity. On the inside of the ring, Inaba and Sloan’s birthstones are artfully embedded. Of course she said YES and how awesome is it that it was LIVE on TV.Enjoy!

Saturday Movie Review: To Rent or Not to Rent

This week I got " It's kind of a funny story" from the library starring Keir Gilchris and Zach Galifianakis. I was never such a Galifianakis fan, but I actually enjoyed him in the movie. Gilchris plays Craig, a 16 year old kid who admits himself into a hospital and is admitted by a psychiatrist. The youth ward is under renovation, so he gets placed into the adult ward. That is where he meets Booby (Galifianakis). Bobby takes him under his wing and makes sure Craig fits in(and gets his points). They are on a point system and if they get enough points they get special privileges. Craig is in the ward due to the stressed life he has at home of always trying to be the best and the pressure just got to him. It's not easy being a teenager these days.

There is also two girls in Craig's life. The girl that he was in love with prior, who started dating his best friend and the girl he meets in the ward. Craig learns a lot from his 5 days in the psy ward and leaves a better person knowing what he wants for his future. I really enjoyed the movie and there were some funny lines. A serious movie, but well acting on everyone parts. Enjoy!
