Kelly Canter (Gwyneth Paltrow) is the IT country star, but after her drinking habits catch up to her, she goes to rehab. In "rehab" she meets a rising singer-songwriter Beau Hutton ( Garrett Hedlund) and when Kelly's husband is planning her tour, Beau joins in. Another rising star joins on the tour, Chiles Stanton (Leighton Meester). She is the pageant girl with the up and coming voice.
Kelly is still unstable and is not able to perform as expected. Her husband is her manager, James (Tim McGraw). Her and James lost a child last year due to Kelly's drinking and she has not been able to forgive herself. Beau understands Kelly and takes care of her on the road when her husband is too busy and has interest in Chiles.
The tour is not what anyone expected, but bonds are formed and they all learn how hard it is traveling day to day. Kelly is very emotionally unstable. At the last leg of the tour, she is finally able to perform on stage and wows the crowd.
Everyone is so happy the tour is over and now for the shocker....
Kelly kills herself. Not what I expected. So I am thumbs down for this movie due to the crazy ending...Enjoy!
