This week I got Wall Street Money Never Sleeps from the library. Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) is back for another round after his 15 years in prison. Jacob Moore (Shia LeBeouf) is the new main character who is making the big bucks. Shia was good, but not very believable that he is earning $1.5 million and living in a $6 million apartment. Turns out he is dating Gordon Gekko's daughter, Winney. Winney wants nothing to do with her father, but Jacob is looking to change that. Moral of the story is people never change. Spoiler: Winney has a "trust fund" overseas, and Jacob helps get her the money, only to have it taken back by Gordon. The movie does have a happy ending.
Wall Street Money Never Sleeps was not as good as the first movie, but it does depict the horrible events of Wall Street and the money crisis quiet well. Worth renting, but make sure you watch Wall Street first. Enjoy!
