This week I got Wall Street from the library. With all the hype of the new Wall Street Movie, I figured it would be a good idea to see the first movie starring Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen.
Here is a little recap: The movie takes place in the 80's when Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) is a Wall Street stockbroker and is looking for ways to make it big. He wants to get in big with a top broker- Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) and does everything he can to prove himself. I see where insider trading began. Gekko takes Bud under his wing and teaches Bud how to play hard and party harder. Bud is living the fast life until he learns that his father's union is going to be bought out. Bud thinks he can play Mr. Gekko, which is not the case. The movie ends with Bud getting reported to the SEC.
The new movie that just hit theaters stars stars Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf. I highly recommend seeing the first movie just to learn a little about Gordon Gekko. Enjoy!
