Thursday's Wedding Tip #38
I was so happy to see Jessica emailed me with a wedding question this week. Her question is "Do you have honeymoon location suggestions for our January wedding next year". I certainly do have some ideas and what a great question.
Wedding tip #38- How to pick out the best honeymoon location for your wedding month.
Winter : (December -March)
-A romantic ski resort
-Caribbean and the Bahamas
A ski resort would be very romantic and think about sitting next to a fireplace all night long with your new husband. I had friends who went to Vail for their honeymoon in February and loved every minute of it. Of course if you are not a fan of the cold, you can always head to the Caribbean or the Bahamas. You can find a nice hotel down south or take a romantic cruise. I suggest a 7-10 night cruise for full relaxation.
Spring: (March- May)
-Hawaii
-Mexico
-Costa Rica
Hawaii is always a top honeymoon destination. If you are from the west coast it is not to far of a trip, but for me in Florida, I did not want to take extra time away from work for all the travel time. There are great resorts in Mexico for all your honeymoon needs if you want to sit back and relax. Head to Costa Rica for beautiful beaches and spectacular rainforests if you are looking for more adventure.
Summer: (June-August)
-Bermuda
Bermuda is a gorgeous location for your first days as husband and wife. Car rentals are not used, so mopeds are the preferred form of transportation. There are cute cottages for you to rent for the week.
Fall: (September- November)
-Las Vegas
-Aruba
Aruba is usually out of the hurricane zone so if you are looking for warm weather- Aruba is the spot. Vegas is a top choice of mine and many of my friends have honeymooned their. It is great for young couples(21+).
*The most important thing to remember when planning is hurricane season, which runs June to November.
P.S.- I finally got a picture for my Thursday Wedding Tips- took me 38 weeks(lol)!! I would love to know what you think. It was hard to choose the perfect picture, but since my weekly tips are for walking down the aisle, I though this was the most appropriate. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteBermuda is gorgeous. My husband and I vacationed there for our 1 year anniversary. what a romantic place and it is great in the summer.
ReplyDeleteVegas is always a great place to honeymoon if you are younger. You can score great hotel packages and there is so much to do.
ReplyDeleteHawaii is over-rated. Its beautiful but costs way to much. Like your new picture.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice! I am getting married in August and have been having a tough time deciding the right place to go that time of year.
ReplyDeleteOh- I love your picture too! The pink petals stand out so nicely and I love the pink ribbons and flowers- beautiful and def appropriate for this post!
