Now that I am a Newlywed...

First comes love, then comes marriage..then comes all the FUN..

Being married is great, but personally not much has really changed. We lived together before we got married, but now we are official. I am still getting used to saying "my husband". I do LOVE being married, but a marriage takes work and here is some advice:

Life is stressful, but you need to make time for each other. Make a rule to cook dinner once a week together and always have a date night. Saturday night has always been our "DATE NIGHT" and I love it.

Make sure you each still spend time with your friends, but it is also nice to get together as a group.

Allow each other the freedom to be who you truly are. That's why you married your partner. My husband loves to fish and I love to blog. We each have our fun!

Be open to compromise and suggestions. A marriage must evolve to survive.

Remember you married your partner in sickness and in health...take care of each other.

It is the most wonderful feeling to wake up to the man I love everyday. Have a Happy Tuesday.Enjoy!

  1. compromise is key. You also need to always have each others back. Make decisions together and always say I LOVE YOU before bed

  2. Yea, i felt the same after being married- we are now official. I like your date night idea. I need to do that more.

  3. My husband does his own thing once a week with his guy friends and I have ladies night on Tuesdays with my girls. It has worked out GREAT and I look forward to my weekly Tuesday night..heading out now!

  4. Congratulations! It is a beautiful thing when you share and work together in a marriage. Being open and warding off offense has been huge for our marriage! Many blessings on your life together.

  5. My husband has his "man nights" while I stay home with the kids- then we trade!!
