Outdoor Weddings

Many people think that a Florida wedding needs to be outside. WRONG. In Florida, it rains A LOT and is very hot as well as humid.

You need to have a Plan B if you are planning an outdoor wedding. I attended a wedding and it happened to have rained all day. The bride was set on her outdoor wedding.

We all remember Jason and Molly's Bachelor Wedding in the rain. It looked nice, but if you were the one soaking wet, you would not think it was so romantic.
The Bride did not have a Plan B. Luckily, it stopped raining about an hour prior to the ceremony and her wedding team came in and soaked up the water, raked away the leaves and set up her beautiful fantasy wedding. The rain held out during the ceremony and didn't start raining again until we were inside for the reception. What a relief.

The wedding was beautiful and they say rain is good luck on your wedding day, but I would not have taken that chance. If you are planning an outdoor wedding, make sure you have a reliable backup Plan B. Enjoy!

  1. I totally agree.

Of course Molly and Jason made headlines, but the rain def put a damper on their wedding.

  2. My cousin got married in FL 2 years ago. The ceremony was outside during the winter. No rain, but very humid. Reception was indoors.

  3. We're having an outdoor wedding on the beach in Satelitte Beach in April but it will be underneath a covered deck so if it should rain we can still go forward with our outside ceremony plans :)

btw loved jason and molly's wedding and how it rained.. it was so romantic oddly enough :)
