I think the all time favorite tradition is to color and hide eggs. I have a 19, 16 and a 2 year old. Even the older ones still love to color eggs. This year will be fun because the two year old will get into and be so excited to try out this new fun. I still give the older kids fun Easter baskets. I don't ever spend that much money on it either. My Mom still sends me an Easter card with Easter Spendy-Bucks in it every year. (She lives far away from us.) All of the family that is near comes over for the hunt and good food. Can't wait! Thanks for the chance to enter.

We have a brunch and egg hunt for the kids. It's so much fun! Thanks for the chance to win this!
ReplyDeleteMy husbands side does Passover and we get together for a seder with all the kids- the kids read the 4 questions. Then we also celebrate Easter with egg painting. I have been very busy setting up the house this weekend. We have about 15 people over for Passover, then the same for next Sunday. Wish me luck.

my favorite easter tradition is the easter egg hunt! Loved it when i was younger and now that i'm older it's still as fun to help out my little cousins find the eggs!
ReplyDeleteI love the Easter Egg hunts. As a kid my grandma would put coins in the eggs and dollars in a few that were harder to find.
ReplyDeleteWe do both Easter and Passover. For Passover, we don't really do a traditional seder, but I do make some really yummy matzo crusted chicken and we have a nice meal together. For Easter we have breakfast hidden in plastic eggs, like granola and cheerios and dried fruit, as well as hard boiled eggs for protein.

We are spending our first Easter away from my family this year. We are planning on reading/reflecting on the death and resurrection of Christ and then praying for our family/friends who don't know the Lord yet! Simple, yet meaningful.

Our favorite family tradition is the Easter basket. Last Easter with my daughter we used a ribbon that we tied from her crib, all the way down the stairs and into the dining room where her basket was....it was so cute to watch her follow the ribbon.
ReplyDeleteThis morning, we put "bunny footprints" from the bedroom door, down the stairs, leading to her basket. She was SO excited.....priceless!

My family isn't often together for Easter anymore, so we don't really have any specific Easter traditions. But, growing up, we were always with my dad's parents in rural Wisconsin. I remember getting up really early to go to the sunrise service and then having breakfast in the basement of the church and we were allowed to have donuts that day. That was really special. I also remember that it often snowed on Easter. I don't miss that.
