Way to watch FREE movies and read FREE books

You guessed it- the LIBRARY. I have found a new love for my local library. They have all the newest movies and the latest books. In the past week, I have checked out 5 movies and 3 books. I am even able to go online and get on the waiting list for the movies/books that are checked out. Currently I am on the waiting list for:

The Dark Knight -I am #509 on the waiting list.
Wanted
Wall-E
Eagle Eye
Mamma Mia
Burn After Reading

It might take a few weeks to get them, but at least they are FREE and I get them for 5 days.

Have you been to your local library lately? Let me know what great finds you found. Enjoy!

  1. I love my library! Although, I may not check out movies as often as they started charging $1/day this year. I can get one at a Redbox for the same price and can find coupons for free rentals alot at Redbox. I also checkout magazines at the library instead of subscribing.

  2. I LOVE my library! They also carry books on CD which I plan to start trying to download them into my son's Zune for him to at least listen to books in the car.

My latest favorite with the kids is to watch Little House on the Prairie and The Brady Bunch on DVD that we get from the library! They haven't seen most of them and I haven't watched them in like 20 years, so it is a win/win!
